Galaxy S8 And Galaxy S8 Plus Autocorrect: How To Turn “ON” And “OFF” Samsung Galaxy S8 And Galaxy S8 Plus Autocorrect: How To Turn “ON” And “OFF”

The users of the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus have the opportunity to correct the typing errors that they make when using the keyboard. This feature is very helpful especially when you are typing a very urgent text.

The Android system will be able to predict the word that you were to type. As much the auto correct can be good it does not mean that it will always work as expected but it may even work in the opposite direction. Basically, it will even correct the correct wording making the incorrect.

This problem has been reported by several users of the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus. You can disable and enable the autocorrect in the android operating system; here is how to make this work.

How to Disable and Enable Autocorrect on the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus

  1. Switch the Smartphone “ON”
  2. Find the keyboard
  3. Select the “Dictation key” in the “Spacebar” next to the left of the displayed screen
  4. Pick on the setting option
  5. When you see “Smart typing”, just below it, there is “Predictive text” tap on it to disable autocorrect in the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus.

Another thing that you want to do is to disable capitalization and punctuation marks, to reverse the process, you have to follow the procedure above but the difference is the pressing of the “ON” button. If you have installed a keyboard from the play store the difference can be small depending on the layout and usage of the keyboard in the Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus and Galaxy S8.
