How to remove location information from a picture

You can remove EXIF data from your photos on the Pixel and Pixel XL several different ways. You can even download some apps from the Google Play Store to help remove the geo locations as well. The good news is that Google made the Pixel and Pixel XL to have the ability to edit this information from your phone without apps. Below is a guide on how you can remove location data or add it with Google’s Gallery app:

  1. Turn on youe Pixel or Pixel XL.
  2. Go to the Gallery app.
  3. Select the image you want to edit.
  4. Select the “More” button.
  5. Select on “Details.”
  6. Select “Edit.”
  7. Find and select the minus (-) symbol in the location section.
  8. To save changes, select on “Done.”

 

After you have followed the steps above you’ll be able to remove geo location from your photos. Also, users can add location information using the same instructions from above. All you need to do is look for a (+) symbol to add geo locations to your pictures on the Pixel and Pixel XL.
