How To Turn OFF Galaxy S8 Parallax Effect (Moving Background)

The parallax feature on your Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus makes your background appear to move. The parallax effect makes your home screen appear to be in 3D. When you move your screen it appears as if all of your screen is moving around with you.

The feature uses a gyroscope and accelerometer together to create the illusion that it’s actually 3D. Some users may love this effect and others may love it not so much and want to remove the parallax effect feature on the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus.

 

How To Turn OFF Galaxy S8 Parallax Effect (Moving Background)

Turning off the Parallax Effect:

  1. Power on your smartphone
  2. From the Home screen, choose Menu
  3. Select Settings
  4. Browse and select “Wallpaper”
  5. Change the “Wallpaper motion effect” to OFF
