We can’t hide the fact that there are times when we hoped for our smartphones to have a Private Mode especially for times when we don’t want to create an awkward situations if someone borrowed the phone. Samsung never failed to stop granting wishes to smartphone users. The new Samsung Galaxy Note 8 has a Private Mode and it surprisingly allowed the users to hide pictures, videos, and files from people. This works by requiring the current user to input the password code or unlock the pattern set to open see what’s hidden behind the Private Mode. How to Add and Remove Files from Private Mode on the Samsung Galaxy Note 8

The Private Mode is applicable for any types of media files such as videos and music. Just follow the step-by-step guide to add any type of file you want to Private Mode:

  1. Swipe your finger from the top of the screen to bottom to show up the Notification Bar
  2. Go to Settings
  3. Tap on Lock Screen and Security option
  4. Then click the Private Mode to switch ON
  5. Select the photo or file that you want to hide and make it viewable in Private Mode only
  6. Choose the files (s) and then tap on “Overflow” menu button placed in the upper right part of the screen
  7. Choose “Move” to Private to make the file (s) hidden

  1. Swipe down from the top of your screen and go to Settings
  2. From here locate and activate Private Mode
  3. The first time you use this feature you’ll get a brief walkthrough, and you’ll need a PIN code to enter and exit this mode each time

  1. Swipe down from the top of your screen and go to Settings
  2. From here locate and activate Private Mode
  3. After re-doing all the process above, the Samsung Note 8 should return to default
