Apple iPhone 10 Not Receiving Text Messages (Solved)

It’s always annoying when you realize that people have been sending text to you, but you have not seen the messages on your iPhone 10. This can make you to miss out on important events with your boss, colleagues, friends or even family. To make it worse, you won’t be able to know when you are urgently needed somewhere.
This issue can be a serious issue and can unnecessarily stress for you if you do not fix it as quickly as possible. The purpose of this article is to make you understand the reasons why you are not receiving messages on your iPhone 10 and how you can fix the issue once and for all.
This issue has two parts, the first part is when you are unable to receive text messages sent from an iPhone, and the second part is when you are not allowed to send text messages from your iPhone 10 to contacts using smartphones like Windows, Android or Blackberry.
The reason for the latter issue is because the messages are being sent as an iMessage from your iPhone and since these contacts are not using an iPhone to receive the message, they will be unable to see it.
But there is no need to panic because these issues can be easily solved with some effective methods. Use the guidelines below, and you will be able to receive and send messages to your iPhone 10.

How To Fix Apple iPhone 10 Not Receiving Text Messages

One of the effective ways to fix this issue is to locate Settings, click on it and then tap on Messages, tap on Send & Receive, then tap on the option Use your Apple ID for iMessage and provide your Apple details to sign in and check to see if your phone number is under the option labeled You Can Be Reached By iMessage. You can then move to your iOS device, locate Settings and then click on Messages and tap Send & Receive.
If your iPhone 10 has been stolen or maybe it’s not with you, then you will not be able to deactivate the iMessage feature. In a case like this, check the Apple site and disable the iMessage feature on your iPhone 10.
Once you are on the site, locate the option “no longer have your iPhone?” and click on it. This option will provide you with a box that you can type in your phone number and location. Once you’ve done that, a code will be sent to your smartphone, type in the code in the field labeled “enter confirmation code” and click on submit.
After you have done that, you should be able to send and receive text messages on your iPhone 10.
