The latest Samsung Galaxy S9 or Galaxy S9 Plus has just released and as like the previous models the phone comes with a convenient predictive text feature. If you aren’t already, then you will be wanting to take advantage of this feature with your Samsung Galaxy S9 or Galaxy S9 Plus. You can actually take notes on whatever you are writing and improve them quickly through the predictive text feature.

You may not be aware that there is a way you can add your own words to the dictionary in a couple of quick and easy ways.

Adding New Words to Predictive Text

  1. Start by going to the home screen on your Samsung Galaxy S9 or Galaxy S9 plus
  2. You will then need to open the message app
  3. Go to the new message icon and begin typing your text message
  4. Next, enter the words that you want to be added to the predictive text feature
  5. If the word isn’t in the dictionary for predictive text, you will see a check mark on the left of the suggestion bar
  6. Then tap the spacebar to accept the change
  7. The new word is now included in your dictionary for autofill and suggestions

Other Keyboard Settings

  1. Start by going to the Home Screen
  2. Navigate to the settings menu
  3. Select General Management
  4. Find Language and Input inside the settings menu
  5. Select Samsung keyboard as the default input method
  6. Note that if you use a different keyboard app like Gboard, these instructions may differ
  7. Under Keyboards select On-screen keyboard
  8. Then tap Samsung Keyboard
