Delete bad apps to fix crashing problem

Most often than not, glitchy third-party apps are the root cause of a phones unresponsiveness which causes it to freeze and then crash. That is why you need to make sure that the app you are downloading is stable by reading the reviews on the app store. If it is an app that is giving you a headache, it would be better to delete it to improve the health of your iPhone X.

 

Memory problem

After the phone has been in use for such a long time without a single restart, a lot of apps can become unresponsive and will cause your phone to freeze and crash. This is because the apps operation if being affected by a memory glitch. Now, by restarting the iPhone X, it will clear the memory cache and might solve the issue. If it is not effective follow these steps:

Option 1, Offload Apps:

  1. Open Settings > General > iPhone Storage
  2. Scroll and Tap on any Apps, Documents or Items you want to clean up.
  3. Select “Offload App” and this will temporarily delete the unused app but save all of the data for you.

Option 2, Review Large Attachments

  1. Open Settings > General > iPhone Storage
  2. Scroll down and Tap ‘Messages’
  3. Select “Review Large Attachments”
  4. You’ll be directed to all Attachments you have in your text messaging. These are sorted in order of size.  You can delete any from here by swiping left and selecting Delete.

Factory reset Apple iPhone X

If after performing all of the fixes, your iPhone X is still having freezes and crashes and you have no idea what is causing it, you may have to do a factory reset in order to finally fix the problem once and for all. Be reminded that if you do a factory reset, you will lose all the contents on your phone. So it is good practice that you make a backup of all important data beforehand.
