Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus Lock Screen Not Working

The Lock Screen of your Samsung Galaxy S8 or Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus is not just a security tool that allows you to insert your authentication code, password, pattern or whatever.

It is also a screen from where you can quickly access some apps or information and, at the same time, it is a screen that you can personalize in many different ways. About all these features and how exactly you can tweak them we are going to talk in today’s article.

If you want to set up a new wallpaper for Galaxy S8/S8 Plus Lock Screen…

You should know that the steps are almost identical to the ones for changing the wallpaper of the Home screen. In fact, that’s where you will start from, so:

  1. Unlock the device and head to the Home screen;
  2. Identify an empty spot and tap and hold on it;
  3. Wait for the Edit mode to launch – you will recognize it by the options available at the bottom of the screen – Widgets, Home screen Settings, Wallpaper;
  4. Tap on Wallpaper;
  5. Tap on Lock screen;
  6. Surf through the images listed in there and pick one for your wallpaper;
  7. Or tap on More Images to navigate your Gallery app and look through the photographs taken by you;
  8. Tap on the Set Wallpaper button when you have finished.

If you want to tweak other settings of Galaxy S8/S8 Plus Lock Screen…

  1. Just navigate to Settings and tap on the Lock Screen menu. Once in there, you should see a list with no less than 7 different features and options:
  2. Dual Clock (displaying two different time zones at the same time);
  3. Clock Size (adjusting the size of the clock widget);
  4. Show the Date;
  5. Camera Shortcut;
  6. Owner Information (displaying Twitter handles and other information chosen by you);
  7. Unlock Effect (various animations and visual effects that change the feel and the look of the screen);
  8. Additional Info (where you can add some pedometer or weather info).

Feel free to explore any of these options and settings, making changes, visualizing the effects and starting it all over again. Sooner or later, you will find the best configuration for the Lock Screen of your Samsung Galaxy S8 or Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus, perfectly tailored to your needs and preferences.
