How To Turn ON And OFF Photo Geotagging On iPhone X

Have you ever heard of the term “Geotagging”? It might sound scientific and all and that to you but this is a feature you may want to activate on your iPhone X. In this article, we will be explaining to you in layman’s term what is geotagging, how you can benefit from it and how to activate it on your phone.

Geotagging is a feature on your iPhone X that enables Cell-tower triangulation, WiFi Router Mapping, GPS and Cell-Tower Triangulation to pinpoint the specific location where a video or image was taken. You can use this feature when posting a certain image or video on your Social Media and your phone automatically locates and tags your whereabouts. Sounds cool right? If you want to know how to activate or deactivate the GeoTagging on your phone, follow these quick and easy steps

Enabling and Disabling Geotagging on your iPhone X

  1. Open your iPhone X
  2. Go to the Settings Application
  3. Press Privacy
  4. Choose Location Services
  5. Press the Camera option
  6. Choose between the options of Geotagging “While using the app” or “Never”

Doing this steps will enable you to activate or deactivate your geotagging on your phone. Please note that when this is active, it drains faster your battery so be sure to activate it only when you’re using it.
