How To Find My Phone Number On Samsung Galaxy S9

Regardless of who you are or your smartphone tendencies, there is going to come a time when you may need to find out your phone number at some point, especially if you’ve just switched to a new SIM card or if you simply cannot remember it anymore. After all, the number you’re least likely to call is your own, and it’s not as if it’s going to be in your contacts list.

The Samsung Galaxy S9 has a unique section in one of its menus, named as the SIM Card Status, where you can see a couple pieces of relevant information, including the phone number. If you own a Samsung Galaxy S9, the steps below will guide you through the process of finding your phone number.

How To Find My Phone Number

All you need to get your phone number on Galaxy S9, assuming everything is OK with your new SIM card, is to:

  • Navigate to the Home screen.
  • Select the Apps icon.
  • Tap the Settings menu.
  • Click on About Device.
  • Touch the status menu in the new window.
  • Select the SIM card status.
  • You should be able to see your phone number in the newly opened window.

Sometimes you may find that your Galaxy S9 phone number is label as Unknown. What this means is that there is an issue with either the account or the SIM card itself. If the SIM card isn’t properly placed in the SIM card tray, that could be causing the issue. So for your first step, you have to eject the SIM card from the tray, wait for a few seconds, and place it back in the tray again.

If you still can’t see your phone number on the Samsung Galaxy S9 after following the steps above, then either there is actually something wrong with your SIM card or there’s something wrong with your account. If that’s the case, the only option left is to contact the service provider and ask them for help.
