How To Enable Hotspot On Apple iPhone 8 and iPhone X

Sometimes when you’re not at home, and want to have other devices connect to the Internet, the best option is to use the iPhone 8  and iPhone X Hotspot feature on your iPhone 8 when not at home and you want the other devices to connect on the Internet. If you set up your iPhone 8 or iPhone X as a mobile hotspot which is a great replacement for when there is a bad public Wifi connection.

You need to set up Hotspot on your iPhone 8 first so you can be able to use the iPhone 8  and iPhone X hotspot feature. This is a very easy process and the process is shown below on how to use the mobile hotspot and how to change the security password on your iPhone 8 or iPhone X.

How to Use the iPhone 8  Hotspot

  1. Turn on your iPhone 8 or iPhone X.
  2. Open the Settings app from the Home screen.
  3. Select on Cellular.
  4. Select on Personal Hotspot.
  5. Switch ON the toggle

Create a password for your iPhone 8  hotspot by going to Settings -> Personal Hotspot -> Tap on Password -> Then type in the new password.

Changing iPhone 8 Hotspot Name

  1. Turn on your iPhone 8 or iPhone X.
  2. Open the Settings app from the Home screen.
  3. Select on About.
  4. Select on Name.
  5. Type in a new name for your iPhone 8  hotspot.

It’s important to note that some data plans don’t offer mobile hotspot unless you upgrade to that service. After you have followed the instructions above and you see that Mobile Hotspot not working on your iPhone 8 or iPhone X, then it’s recommended that you contact your wireless carrier to see if you can get a compatible data plan.
