How To Enable Or Disable Driving Mode On Galaxy S8 And Galaxy S8 Plus

If you have a Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8 Plus smartphone, you may not be aware that your phone has a special mode known as “Driving Mode”. Driving Mode sets your phone to a hands-free mode and automatically responds to incoming text messages with a message informing the sender that you are currently driving and cannot respond. In this article, I’ll show you how to turn Driving Mode on or off on your Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8 Plus.

Enabling and disabling Driving Mode is very simple. Just follow these steps:

  1. Open the Messages+ app.
  2. In the app, tap the menu button in the top left.
  3. Tap Driving Mode;
  4. Tap Add Device to choose a Bluetooth device to connect to while in driving mode. (Generally, your car’s Bluetooth receiver.)
  5. Once you’ve added your device, tap the “Driving Mode Auto-reply” option.

Driving Mode is now enabled on your Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8 Plus and you’ll send auto-reply messages to anybody that tries to contact you. You can enter a custom auto-reply message by tapping the “Driving Auto-Reply Message” option.

To disable Driving Mode, just follow the steps above but deselect Driving Mode in step 3.
