If you own the new Samsung Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8 Plus, you will be familiar with the capability of its amazing camera. You might not yet be so familiar with the process of sharing your photos through various social media.
This might be especially true if you have never used an android device before. Follow this step by step guide to discover how to take photos and share them.
Using the camera
There are two many ways to open and use the camera app on Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus. One is through the lock screen shortcut, the other is through the camera app installed on the phone.
The lock screen shortcut is the fastest way to access the camera. To open it simply hold and then swipe the camera icon that can be found toward the lower right of the screen.
The other way to open the camera is by unlocking your phone and selecting the camera app from your main screen. Once it is opened you can fiddle with the setting to your hearts content. Do this by swiping the left side of the screen and opening the camera menu.
Once you have taken a photo, an option to preview it will appear in the right bottom corner of the screen. Selecting this option will bring up a line of the recent photos you have taken. You will be able to select any of them and bring up options to share to contacts through various channels. Follow these steps to share your desired photos.
- Select an image by tapping on it.
- The share icon will appear, select it.
- You can then choose a certain share platform. Facebook, twitter and others will appear.
- Selecting one of the apps will bring up a new window, which will place your image in a direct post or activity.
It is also possible to backup files and media this way. You can upload files to storage services like Google Drive, Dropbox and OneDrive if you have them installed. You can do this to clear space, and keep all your most important photos and videos safe on the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus.
