Samsung Galaxy S6 Star Symbol Icon In Status Bar Meaning

The Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge is running on the Android Lollipop 5.0 software which has new features that many don’t know about. One icon that people keep asking questions about is, what is the star icon symbol in the status bar of the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge. For those that want to know what the star symbol means in the Galaxy S6 status bar, the star symbol means that “Interruptions Mode” is activated, which is a feature that appears when only calls and notifications appear, which you have previously selected as important.

The Galaxy S6 star symbol appears on the top of the screen. This new “Priority” setting is activated with “Interruptions Mode” and is new to the Galaxy S6 running on Android 5.0 Lollipop. This feature can be activated manually and also turned off if you don’t want the star symbol appearing on the status bar of the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge.
