How To Fix Passcode On iPhone 8 And iPhone 8 Plus

Owners of the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus should know how to fix the passcode on their iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus. There are methods for the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus passcode reset that require doing a hard factory reset that will delete all of your information from your iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus smartphone. Fortunately, for those that are locked out of their Apple iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus, you can unlock the Apple smartphone and keep all your data. The following steps are three different methods on how to reset passcode when your iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus is locked out.

Select a way to erase your iPhone 8

First of all, you need to make a backup of all of your iPhone data to save all your information on your iPhone 8 before you reset the password. To reset the passcode on the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus, you’ll need to wipe all the date on the iPhone.

  • If the iPhone 8 or iPhone 8 Plus is already synced with iTunes, then use the iTunes method
  • If the iPhone 8 or iPhone 8 Plus is signed in to iCloud or Find My iPhone is turned on, then use the iCloud method
  • If you don’t use iCloud on your iPhone 8 or iPhone 8 Plus and you can’t sync or connect with iTunes, you can use the recovery mode method

Erase your iPhone 8 with iTunes

  1. First, connect your iPhone 8 or iPhone 8 Plus to the computer
  2. Then, open iTunes and enter the passcode if required
  3. After that, wait for iTunes to sync your iPhone 8 or iPhone 8 Plus and then make a backup
  4. After the sync is finished, and the backup is done, click Restore [Name of your device]
  5. After the Set Up screen shows up on the iPhone or iPhone 8 Plus, tap Restore from iTunes backup
  6. Choose your iPhone 8 or iPhone 8 Plus in iTunes and then search for the date and size of the backup and then pick the most relevant one

Erase your iPhone 8 with iCloud

  1. First of all, Go to iCloud.comm/find with a different device
  2. If asked, sign in with your Apple ID
  3. After that, at the top of the browser, choose All Devices
  4. Pick the device you want to erase
  5. Tap on Erase [Your Device], which will erase your device along with its passcode
  6. Finally, you can choose to restore from a backup or set up as new

Make sure your device is connected to a Wi-Fi or cellular network, if not then you can’t erase it with Find My iPhone.

Erase your iPhone 8 with recovery mode

If your iPhone is not synced with iTunes or set up Find My iPhone in iCloud, you will have to use recovery mode to restore your device. This will erase all the data from your device as well as its passcode.

  1. First, connect your iPhone 8 to your computer and open iTunes
  2. While your iPhone 8 is connected, you can force restart it by pressing and holding both the Sleep/Wake and Home button for at least 10 seconds. Don’t release when you see the Apple logo. Just keep holding until you see the recovery mode screen
  3. After that you will see the option to Restore or Update, select Update. iTunes will try to reinstall iOS without erasing your data. Wait while iTunes downloads the software for your device
