How To Reset Password On HTC One M9

It’s very common for someone to forget their HTC One M9 password. The good news is that there are two ways that you can reset the password on the HTC One M9 and HTC One M9 Plus. The first way to reset the password on the HTC One M9 is by logging in to your Google account that is registered with the smartphone. To do this, the HTC One M9 and HTC One M9 Plus must be connected to a WiFi network that has been connected with the device before.

For those that can’t connect to a WiFi network to reset the password, a second method that you can use to complete a HTC One M9 password reset is to follow step by step guide below. The second method is to factory reset the HTC One M9, which is important to note that this method will delete all data and information stored on the smartphone.

  1. At the same time, press & hold Volume UpHome, and Power until the HTC logo shows up.
  2. Then let go of all these buttons when the screen goes to the developer menu.
  3. Use the Volume Down button to go to “Wipe Data/Factory Reset.
  4. Press the Power button.
  5. Use the Volume Down button again and select “yes – delete all user data.
  6. Press the Power button.
