What is the Newest Samsung Phone Out Right Now? [July 2020]

Samsung devices are the leading phones with the Android operating system. Often valued for their innovative technology and customizable options, these phones are a popular alternative to Apple’s iPhone.

With three new options available in the Galaxy S series [1] in the market today, Samsung has taken the lead in smartphone innovation. It has recently released the Samsung Galaxy S20, S20+, and S20 Ultra 5G. These new phones have a lot of cool new features and advanced technical capabilities. Compared to their predecessor, Samsung Galaxy S10 models, these new models offer faster processors, better camera quality, and more! This lineup is powered by Exynos 990/Snapdragon 865 chip.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+ are still the newest models for those who prefer a stylus and some additional features that the standard S series didn’t offer.

Samsung Galaxy S20

The Samsung Galaxy S20 [22] comes in three color choices; Cosmic Grey, Cloud Pink, and Cloud Blue. It is the smallest among the new releases with a 6.2-inch screen.

The Screen

The Galaxy 6.2-inch S20 infinity-O with Gorilla Glass screen is, for lack of a better word, awe-inspiring. There is no other way to describe it. It has a strong and fantastic display with sharp colors, great contrast, and crisp image quality. The in-screen fingerprint reader works well and while I didn’t use the Wireless PowerShare function, it’s a neat addition to a feature-packed phone.

The Camera

This 64MP High-Resolution camera with 30X Zoom is sure to produce high-quality photos that are sure to impress. With a set of 3 cameras including the wide-angle, telephoto, and ultra-wide, this set of cameras are able to capture 8K videos and professional-grade photographs even at low light. The 3x optical zoom allows you to zoom shots up to 30x digital zoom.

The Specs

Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus

The Samsung Galaxy S20+ is Samsung’s flagship product. It is by far the largest, most powerful, and has the best screen and most powerful chipset. The design is very sleek with a refined chassis, rounded edges, great build quality, and a comfortable feel in the hand.

With all its impressive features and being this year’s first 5G phone, the S20 Plus is simply a powerhouse! It comes in three color options: Cosmic Gray, Cosmic Black, and Cloud Blue.

The Screen

With a 6.7-inch Quad HD AMOLED screen, the Galaxy S20 Plus is an upgrade from it’s smaller sister device. The screen is also manufactured using Gorilla glass, providing more protection from minor drops.

The Camera

Similar to the cameras in Galaxy S20, you will have the three standard rear-facing cameras. There is an additional one on the plus model is known as the ToF (time-of-flight) camera. This camera is better for AR functionality. This phone’s camera has proven to be one of the best mobile phone cameras by far!

The Specs

With the 4,500 mAh internal Battery, this phone is one that is expected to last for up to 48 hours.

Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra

Packed with more features and hardware than the other models, the Galaxy S20 Ultra is the top-of-line option in this year’s release of Galaxy models.

Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra

Samsung put a lot of work into making this particular model. Although it does carry a higher price tag than its sister phones, the Galaxy S20 Ultra is the high-end model with so much to offer for its users.

The screen

The largest of the three models, this phone offers a 6.9 inch AMOLED screen providing more landscape for videos, games, and reading. Along with the other two models listed above, the Ultra model also has the infinity-O with Gorilla glass, perfecting screen quality and enhancing durability from that of older models.

The Camera

Offering an amazing 108MP camera as opposed to the 64MP of the other two models, this camera is the epitome of professional-grade in a smartphone device. Similar to that of the Galaxy S20+, this model also offers the ToF sensor allowing better AR interaction and camera quality. This is another set of cameras that will record 8K quality while enhancing images taken at night and in the dark. It is equipped with a quad-lens stack and a 10x lossless zoom shooter which can reach up to 100x digital power. With a phone camera as awesome as this, your pictures will surely look closest to reality.

The Specs

Battery

Samsung introduced Wireless PowerShare with the Samsung Galaxy S10 models. This feature allows users to charge other devices while on the go.  Samsung has implemented this extraordinary feat into the newer models. The Galaxy S20 series also offers all-day battery life for normal use.

With SuperFast Charging technology you can quickly bring your phone back to life. Taking between 30 and 45 minutes to get a good charge on the Galaxy S20 series devices is important for those who are on the go or those who forget to charge their phone when no in use.

As with any smartphone battery, the all-day usage requires certain precautions to be taken. Turning down screen brightness, closing background apps, and other battery saving techniques may affect the device’s battery life.

Samsung Galaxy Note 10

The current model of the Galaxy Note is the 10, 1o+, and the 5G. The option with a built-in stylus and a few extra features, the Note series is loved by professionals, artists, and anyone who wants a phone that just does more! As of June 2020, this is still the newest note on the market.

The Screen

With a 6.3-inch screen, this model is the same size as the S20 Ultra. For extra crisp screen is attributed to the FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED screen, with a large landscape and lower price point than the other newer Note series, this is an excellent buy.

The Camera

The front-facing 10MP camera offers Live Focus and Live Focus Video features. The rear camera(s) offers a 16MP Ultra Wide Camera, 12MP wide-angle camera, and 12MP Telephoto camera. An excellent trio of professional-grade cameras, your pictures are sure to impress.

The Specs

The Galaxy Note 10+

The Note 10+ is a larger version of the Note 10. With better battery life and a screen size of 6.8-inches measured diagonally, the Note 10+ is a serious upgrade from the smaller version. Available in 256GB and 512GB, Galaxy lovers have more storage options with the larger option in the Note line.

If you love the stylus and a few extra features, the Note series is the best option but the S20 Ultra is a great competitor.

Which Samsung do you buy?

Capture Your World in a Whole New Way: Samsung Galaxy S20 5G ...

With so many phone options available, there are many factors you should consider when making the purchase. The Samsung Galaxy S20 costs much lower than the Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus or the Ultra model. This device is still an innovative piece of technology with a lot to offer the average user.

The Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus hits the middle ground of this year’s models that Samsung released. With a great camera set up and a larger screen, this phone is more attractive to users who prefer a little more than the basic model has to offer.

The Galaxy S20 Ultra is certainly the top-of-the-line option in 2020 Galaxy models. With a more powerful processor and a higher RAM, this may be the best option for avid smartphone users or those who enjoy playing a lot of games on their phones. Those who want their hands on the best and the latest smartphone should not miss this amazing phone.

Each of these three models come equipped with the technology to operate on 5G, the newest and fastest network technology. Older models are also capable of working on the 5G network, but the S20 series was built for it!

When Will the Next Phone be Released?

It’s a question everyone wants the answer to. Aside from leaks and speculations, there isn’t a way to know for sure when the next phone is released until the manufacturer announces it. Both Samsung and Apple are very hush-hush about their newest models before the announcements.

To understand when the next phone is going to be released, you must look at the company’s history. For example; Apple almost always releases the newest iPhone [23] at the end of August or the beginning of September. Aside from the iPhone SE series, this has always been the case.

The same goes for Samsung. The company has always released their new standard ‘S’ series models in late winter or early spring (around March or April). The Note series is usually released at the end of summer (around August or September). It isn’t a fool-proof method as things can change but you can reasonably expect to see the newer phones during these seasons.
